The Ray Kennedy Cup

The Ray Kennedy Cup is a Parkinson’s International football tournament. It was started in Denmark some years ago as a tribute to Ray Kennedy who was an ex pro footballer with several top clubs and who had Parkinson’s. Interest has grown year on year across Europe and the venue has also moved in recent years.

This year it is to be  held in Cardiff for the first time in Wales over the weekend 6/7 September at Ocean Park, Ocean Way, Cardiff. CF24 5HF. It is expected to draw a large public and media attention from across the board. The tournament opens at 10am each day with the walking football competition on the Saturday and the  running football competition on the Sunday.

There will be a variety of entertainment taking place over the weekend inc. a choir, brass band, samba bands, music and a DJ. Refreshments will be available on site. Opportunities for sponsorship are welcome.
